A Grower–Buyer Mixer: Where Virginia Farms Meet Their Match

Roots & Grains RVA brings together Virginia’s vegetable and grain farmers with the distilleries, mills, grocers, aggregators, and wholesalers who are actively building local supply chains.

Designed to close the gap between what farms grow and what buyers need, this event creates space for direct, practical conversation—and meaningful connection.

Free and open to all! Register today.

Why Attend

For Farmers (Grain + Vegetable):
Whether you’re currently growing, transitioning to organic, or exploring new markets, this is an opportunity to:

  • Hear directly from buyers about what they’re sourcing

  • Learn what it takes to sell into distilleries, mills, grocery, and wholesale markets

  • Build relationships that can lead to new market opportunities

For Buyers (Distillers, Millers, Bakers, Retailers, Aggregators):
This event is a chance to:

  • Connect face-to-face with a diverse network of Virginia growers

  • Share your sourcing needs and product specifications

  • Build relationships that strengthen regional supply chains

Event Format

The evening begins with a buyer panel featuring representatives from both the grain and vegetable sectors—including distilleries, mills, grocery, food hubs, and wholesale buyers. Panelists will share:

  • What they’re sourcing

  • What quality, volume, and consistency look like

  • How producers can successfully enter their supply chains

Following the panel, the space opens for a structured mixer, where attendees can meet, talk, and begin building working relationships.

What to Expect

  • Direct, practical insight from active buyers

  • Open networking with farmers and buyers across sectors

  • Small bites and local beverages sourced from Virginia farms

All farmers welcome. No pitch decks required—just real conversation!
