Jillian O'Donohoe

Jillian O'Donohoe is CGA's Communications and Research Coordinator. She is passionate about forging a career at the intersection of sustainable agriculture and food access to promote the health of individuals, communities, and the environment.

Originally from Northern New Jersey, Jillian attended American University and graduated with a BS in Health Promotion & minors in Communications and Spanish Language in 2018 and an MS in Health Promotion Management with a concentration in Strategic Communication in 2019. Much of her specific knowledge of local grains and agriculture comes from over 2 years as a farmers market and CSA manager for FRESHFARM in Washington, D.C., spending the 2020 growing season working on the growing team at The Farm at Sunnyside in Virginia, and reading any book or article and listening to any podcast about the any aspect of the food system she can get her hands on.

Jillian loves her job at CGA because she gets to network and connect with knowledgeable and passionate people with similar interests and share the story of local grains in the Mid-Atlantic far and wide. When she's not talking about or eating food, Jillian loves to spend time outside, especially running, and playing with her dog.
