Michael Grantz

Michael Grantz is a founding CGA member and currently serves on the Board as Co-Director. He is passionate about regenerative agriculture’s potential to restore ecosystem health and local economies and has experience on a wide variety of diversified farms.

He and his wife Arden Jones operate Great Day Gardens, a market garden and wood-fired bakery serving Lynchburg, VA. Michael manages the bakery, where he makes sourdough bread using grain primarily from CGA farms and mills. He also has a certification in permaculture design and received a B.A. in Environmental Policy from Sewanee: The University of the South.
